My Village

The name of my village is lower dir, it is located about 2.5 hours distance from swat, Pakistan. My village is the only place that gives me peace and happiness from its beautiful views, it helps me to calm my mind from stress of the around world. There is a river in the middle and the sides are covered with big mountains which gives the best scenery to be appreciated every day. The population of my village is not too much it will be around five thousand of villagers.

       The roads of my village are very smooth and flat that are developed for the sake of visitors. There are many places which are snow-capped, also consists of a pleasant weather that attracts the tourists toward itself. The tourism over here is growing rapidly the people of my village are very welcoming and kind they love to host the guests. For the sake of tourists many big hotels are designed to stay happy there and relaxed.

   I am blessed to have such a beautiful village whenever I get vocations I must visit there once a year. Over there my family have a big house with beautiful garden and also there are big farms. The water source for farms is river, the river water is used for so many purposes like washing clothes, dishes, taking bath, watering plants, cleaning purpose etc., in the evening most of the people use to do swimming in the river and they are very good swimmers too I also learned my swimming skills over there.

            The best agriculture crops produce here in lower dir are wheat, maize and rice, in addition there is a vast variety of dry fruits too out of which walnut is the most famous. In the dinner most of women cook boiled rice with vegetables that is the favorite dish of everyone. The villagers are not very rich but they make their both ends meet by hard work and strong enthusiasm towards keep working, they are really good farmers and sellers of my village famous products.

      Among the tourists this place is famous for hiking there are places to visit like lawari top, chatral, shangla, shen ghar, laram top and osheri. When I visited for the first time over there all of this looked like heaven to me it was so peaceful and calm also the only noise you hear over there is of chirping birds, fresh air falling heavily on trees and water that flows continuously in river. It gives relaxation to ears from the populated noise of cities.

         There are facilities of schools, colleges and health care centers, before that the people were illiterate and uneducated but now they focus on studies a lot and making themselves a part of developing world, I am very proud of my village it makes me happy to be part of such humble and honest people.
